What does gash mean?
army slang for rubbish, or can be a big cut, or slang for female privte areas.
a wound made by a swiping sword
British slang for a vagina!
I assume that you are asking for the meaning that is not usually found in the dictionary.
It is a slang term for a woman's private parts, the term is used because the area when uncovered supposedly looks like a cut or a gash. Gash is used as it tends to indicate a messy wound rather than cut which implies more of a slice etc.
Pretty graphic really and not a nice word to use in that context, it would certainly not be used as a compliment if some one was describing your area as a "gash".
