What does it mean by sexually active??
It means to literally be active in sexual activities, as in having sexual intercourse. Some people may extend this to include masturbation, however when a doctor asks it is so they can know your sexual-partner and -risk history.
to have sexual intercourse...know what that means?

sexually active is whether or not youre having sex, or taking part in sexual activity.
It means, are you having sex?

it means that sexually, as in having sex, you are active. sexual intercourse. etc. it just means that you are having sex.
That you engage in sex, be it vaginal, oral or anal. Any penetration of a body cavity by a sex organ is sex.
I think that being sexually active means that you are actually having sex. if you're just doing sexual acts but not having intercourse than I think you're just curious but aren't sexually active yet.
It means you have had sex, your are having sex, or you are currently in a relationship where you two participate in sex.
