What is a cheap way to get rid of bloating when you are not on your period?

I have mydol and that seems to work okay. I have also tried Rolaids complete. Is there anything natural or foods to avoid? Just a note, I hardly ever drink pop. What is a cheap way to get rid of bloating when you are not on your period?
Take Water pills..
Drink cranberry juice
Drink water!
If you experience an almost painful typ bloating try a tsp of baking soda in a sm. glass of water...yucky but works in minutes!
midol is all that works for me...and sit ups or jogging, exercise lessens the pain from cramps too.
Sodium (salt) is usually the culprit here. Avoid as much of it as you can and drink plenty of fluids. I know it sounds weird to drink water to remove water, but that is exactly what your body needs to flush out the excess.
Give it a try and see for yourself!
You should avoid lots of salt if you are retaining water. Also, believe it or not, fluid retention can be a sign of dehydration and drinking more water may help. If the swelling is only in your feet, you can try sitting with your feet propped up for a while. But I would try increasing my fluid intake before I did anything else.
Avoid fast food (all of it, including salads). Read labels for sodium (main source of bloating). Anything under 10% RDA of sodium is good (the lower the better). Sodium is everywhere. Read the label on anything you buy in a jar, box, bottle, with a seasoning packet, or in frozen or diet foods. Drink plain water. No sodas--diet or otherwise. Caffeine is a diuretic (you'll pee a lot of fluids out of your body if you drink coffee). The more fluids you take in, the less need your body will have to store extra. :-) Fruits and veggies are the best. Walk every day (sweat helps, too), and sleep 7-8 hours. FYI, Rolaids has nothing to do with water balance.
