What could cause heartburn in the mornings?

I get this feeling of acid coming up.but it's only in the mornings. It can't be from food from breakfast because I generally don't eat in the mornings. Any ideas? What could cause heartburn in the mornings?
It is probably from food you ate the night before. It used to happen to me when I snacked late before I went to bed. I have stopped this and no more acid-reflux in the morning for me. It also has alot to do with the type of food you eat.
It sounds like you may suffer from acid reflux.See a doctor about it .Or try a over the counter med called Prilocet, Prevacid or Zantac. If one of those dont help, see a doctor.
Depending on what you ate and drank the night before...or you could just have a problem with acid reflux...try the over the counter drug prilosec...it is a lil expencive...but works wonders
It sounds like acid reflux, just as the most of the people answered here. You can try over the counter meds, cut back on the time in which you eat your last meal of the day, and you can also try elevating the head of your bed or propping yourself up on some pillows. The stomach acid is seeping back into your esophogus while you're laying flat...
